MyLocationTracker

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Who we are

MyLocationTracker is a product of Mental Monkey Software (ABN 13 151 087 978), an independent Australian software business operating since 2017. If you purchase a paid plan, "Mental Monkey Software" is the name that will appear on your card or bank statement. Contact: [email protected].

The service

MyLocationTracker provides family location sharing: live positions on a map, location history, places (geofence arrival/departure alerts), route monitoring (deviation and late alerts), and temporary share links. Using it requires an account and, for tracking, the MyLocationTracker mobile app. By creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

You may only track devices and people with their informed consent. Family members join circles by invitation and can leave at any time. Using the service to monitor someone without their knowledge or agreement is prohibited, may be unlawful in your jurisdiction, and will result in account termination.

Not for emergencies or safety-of-life use

MyLocationTracker is an informational tool. It is not an emergency-response, personal-safety, or child-safety device, and must not be relied on in any situation where failure, delay, or inaccuracy could lead to harm. Location reports depend on GPS quality, network coverage, device battery, and operating-system behaviour; positions may be delayed, inaccurate, or missing entirely. In an emergency, contact emergency services.

Acceptable use

Your data

Your location history and account data remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to store and process them solely to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via [email protected] — see the Privacy Policy for retention details.

Availability

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law — and without limiting any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law — Mental Monkey Software's total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on location accuracy or timeliness (see Not for emergencies).

Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms (in particular the consent and acceptable use sections). You may close your account at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this site, and continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
